Data deletion
Delete some data, or all of it.
To delete your whole Afar account, use your account page; the account deletion page explains exactly what that deletes and keeps. To remove only some data and keep your account, choose from the options below.
Your options
- Sign out of one browser. On your account page, choose Sign out on this browser. That session ends; your other devices stay signed in.
- Sign out everywhere. The emergency revoke page ends every signed-in session at once. Afar records when you did it and the reason you chose.
- Remove one paired device on your computer. Open the Afar service on your computer and remove that device. Its pairing credential stops working immediately; your other pairings are untouched.
- Clear what is on your phone or tablet. Delete the Afar app. Its local settings, keys and preferences may be removed with it; the operating system may retain some secure-storage items.
- Delete files on your own computer. Terminal sessions, files and job receipts are stored on the computer you paired with, and you can delete any of them there at any time.
- Have email you sent us deleted. Write to hello@fromafar.app from the address you used and ask us to delete the correspondence. Please don’t send passwords, recovery keys or pairing credentials.
For what Afar keeps and why, see the privacy page.
