Account safety
Disconnect a lost device.
If a paired phone or laptop goes missing, remove it directly in Afar on your Mac or sign out every remote session below. Removing a device on your Mac works right away, even without an internet connection.

Remove the device in Afar on your Mac
Your Mac has the final word over who can reach its screen, terminal and files. None of these steps require an internet connection or an account token.
-
Press
⌘.or choose Stop Remote Session from Afar in the menu bar to take back the screen and keyboard immediately. - Open Afar → Paired Devices, select the missing phone or laptop, and click Revoke Device. Its credential in macOS Keychain is deleted at once while your other paired devices keep working.
-
Or quit Afar from Terminal to close every active local, VPN and relay connection at once:
osascript -e 'tell application "Afar" to quit'

Sign out every remote session
If you aren’t near your Mac, sign in with the Apple or Google account you use in Afar. Every session on your account ends at once, and a connection open through Afar’s relay closes within five minutes, or ten if Afar can’t be reached.
Checking whether you’re signed in…
You’ll come straight back here. Signing in here doesn’t sign in any other device.
